Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how the developer (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles user information in the iOS application BleARRadar (“the App”).

1. Core Principle

The App does not transmit any user information to external servers. All processing is performed entirely on the user’s device.

2. Information Collected and Used

The App processes the following information only on the user’s device.

2.1 Bluetooth Scan Data

The App scans for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices and obtains:

Advertisement data of nearby BLE devices (identifiers, names, signal strength (RSSI), manufacturer data)
RSSI history acquired during use

This data is used solely for the App’s position estimation feature and is not transmitted to any third party.

2.2 Camera Feed

Camera input is used for spatial recognition (ARKit) and object recognition (Vision framework).

Camera frames are processed only on-device
Unless the recording feature is used, frames are not stored
Saving and sharing of recorded videos is performed solely by user action

2.3 In-App Settings

User-defined aliases (custom device names), favorites, and configuration values (path-loss n, reference RSSI, etc.) are stored in the device’s local UserDefaults.

2.4 Information NOT Collected

The App does not collect:

Location data (GPS)
Contacts, photos, health data, or other personal information
Usage analytics or crash reports (no analytics SDKs are used)
Advertising identifiers

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

The App does not disclose any acquired information to third parties. No advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or other third-party services are used.

4. Data Storage and Deletion

Acquired data is stored locally on the device
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data
Recorded videos must be managed by the user via the iOS Photos app or similar

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at any specific age group. Parents or guardians of users under the age of 13 should supervise their use.

Because the App does not collect or transmit personal data, we do not consider ourselves a typical “data controller” under such data protection regimes. If you have concerns, please contact us via the contact information below.

7. Security

Since all data is retained on the user’s device, structural risks of unauthorized external access are limited. However, the security of the user’s device itself (passcode, etc.) is the user’s own responsibility.

8. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be changed without prior notice. Significant changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
